Black Women in Medicine is an organization founded at TTUHSC El Paso Foster School of Medicine dedicated to providing community, mentorship, and advocacy for Black women in all fields of medicine. This organization facilitates this by: serving as a safe atmosphere where Black female students are free to express their concerns; provoking awareness of local, national, and international issues of interest to the Black community; providing a community for women who identify as Black, and those who stand in allyship; and by providing mentorship, and empowerment for Black women to become leaders in their respective fields of medicine.
