About the EPBBN (El Paso Black Business Network)

The El Paso Black Business Network (EPBBN) created the El Paso Black Pages™ (EPBP) as a vital tool in which to showcase and unify Black entrepreneurs and organizations. The EPBP is a tool to increase awareness about Black owned businesses and highlight the efforts of professionals in the Greater El Paso area.

The El Paso Black Business Network was founded in July 1999 and launched on December 6, 2005, along with the Black El Paso News & Information (now Black El Paso Voice), by the (then) spouse of a Fort Bliss Service Member, and an Active Duty Service Member who was assigned to Fort Bliss and active in the local community. Seeing the need for more information and resources to help identify Black entrepreneurs and other professionals, they made the decision to be a part of the solution by creating a network of like-minded professionals to elicit change in the business community on the border.

EPBBN Mission:

  • We desire to be comprised of members who aspire to develop and strengthen their entrepreneurial vision and social connections for their businesses
  • We desire to attain and retain peer counselors who yearn to help foster a sense of pride and diligence in new business owners seeking to attain success in their entrepreneurial goals
  • To improve the overall quality of life for all Black professionals in the Greater El Paso area
