Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated is a Greek lettered/Social Fraternity founded on January 5th, 1911 on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana by our ten (10) revered Founders. The Fraternity prides itself on education, true manliness, and achievement in every field of human endeavor. On 20 July, 1962, a group of twenty-one Kappa Brothers that were brought to the area by the military, government Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs, or just plainly settled here during the American Westward Expansion. Graduates from several different Undergraduate Chapters living in El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico sent forth to the Grand Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated the documentation required to create a new Alumni Chapter which would be known as the El Paso-Las Cruces Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The Charter for this Alumni Chapter was finally approved and granted on 13 October 1962.

The Kappa Community Service Foundation, Inc. is the nonprofit arm of El Paso-Las Cruces Alumni Chapter. Our work is supported through fundraisers and the generous donation of our supporters within the community and abroad. Through the continued support of our donors and proceeds raised from our fundraisers, we hope to continue to:
1. Support the El Paso and Las Cruces communities through our outreach programs and endeavors, such as our Thanksgiving Basket give aways, which supported 20 families each year with full Thanksgiving meals for their families.
2. Partner with St. Jude Children’s Hospital, where annually we raise funds in support of their cause to provide quality affordable care for terminally ill children and their families.
3. Continue to support our National Service Programs, Guide Right and Kappa League, to develop and encourage the next generation of leaders on college campuses and their communities.
