DUKEScomics is an award-winning small press and studio based in southern New Mexico, led by illustrator Ronnie Dukes, a Black Indigenous Chicago native, and his wife, writer Dr. E.C.-Dukes, a Xicana native New Mexican. Guided by the motto Visualizing the Future Through Comics, we specialize in comics, futurism, and borderland culture. We earned recognition from Jack and Jill of America, Inc, El Paso-Southern New Mexico Chapter, and received an International Latino Book Award and the Vanguard Arts & Entertainment Business of the Year Award. We publish graphic novels and exhibit globally at Tokyo Comic Con, FIL Guadalajara, and C2E2. We create Graphic Medicine comics with healthcare professionals to illustrate complex health narratives.
